We enjoyed a lovely dinner. My husband had a pasta dish which was very tasty and I had the eggplant main course, which was like eggplant Parmesan but I don’t think the eggplant was fried- it was baked and delicious. We also started with some warm bread which was very good, but a bit pricey for the portion size. All in all, a very nice dinner. We will be back.

New ownership = 10/10.

I had the Rigatoni Bolognese and it was phenomenal. Paired with an earthy wine recommended by the new owner & the bread. I will be back for a weekly meal. Would recommend as everything looked delicious.

While it took a really long time to come out, the mushroom pizza was very very good. Ask for their chili oil! Skip the olives which were nothing special. Will come back for their Puglia bread!

After Christmas dinner with friends that wanted to go on Haight and I’m not familiar with this street at all so I looked up the reviews and tried this place out. I’m gluten free and meat free and they do have gluten free pasta, but when I saw the reviews on the eggplant, I had to try it! It was sooo good! Perfect, not too tangy and not too sweet! Just enough cheese (not vegan), had the beets with ricotta and mint and thought that might be weird but it went perfectly together! Everyone else said their food was amazing too! It would have made my dinner perfect if there was gluten free bread to sop up my sauce! The dessert we had the panna cotta with raspberry and corn flake crunch which also sounded weird but it works!

We got the funghi pizza, orecchiette pasta and a salad. The service was attentive and recommended the bread which was fresh. We enjoyed the endive salad was delicious but the pasta and pizza were unfortunately both a miss for us. The bread crumbs on the pasta were soggy and the broccoli was overcooked. The pizza was also a bit soggy. We used to frequent this restaurant before it changed hands and will give it another try the next time we’re around the area.

The most authentic Italian restaurant in the city hands down. It was recommended to us by a friend who knows his stuff and this little restaurant in the lower haights did prove his words. Perfectly seasoned tasty dishes from quality ingredients thoughtfully served and prepared to perfection. We couldn’t resist and tried four different items from their appetizers and two main dishes. All were fantastic. The service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere was just like if we were in a family restaurant somewhere in Italy.
We are eager to go back and try more of their dishes. It was a satisfying experience all around.

Ordered food 3 times dine in in the past 2 weeks. The food was phenomenal. I also call in yesterday as I need about 5 pizzas for my giests for a little get together. They set it all up and it was amazibg! Highly recommend Uva Enoteca!
