Ok....I've been back several times to Jack's so I gave to up grade my original review. Food if very good, service is great and it's a very friendly, clean place. I have their Fish and Chips at my last visit...yum.

Nice neighborhood tavern/restaurant in a picturesque mountain town. I would normally give it 5 stars, except for two issues. First off, the Reuben sandwich had sweet sauerkraut, which is just weird. Second, the men's room didn't have any soap, no dispenser, no bar soap...no soap. Hopefully the employees use a different bathroom or carry around their own soap.

I paid $14 for a Southwest chicken salad that barely had any chicken in it.. I literally NEVER buy food from restaurants but I decided to get food with my son and this is what I got.. it's absolutely ridiculous to charge someone $14+tax for a salad that doesn't even have even a half of a chicken breast in it..if I could get my money back, I would.

A restaurant in clifton gorge Virginia. Many choices for mixed drinks as well as beers to choose from. Choose the jack bacon burger with ceddar cheese soup and an imperial stout to drink. There is outdoor eating butvit was only 50 degrees the day I visited so that was not a popular option.

Had a great waitress named Karen, who should get a raise. She knows her job! We try to stop at this gem whenever traveling by. We noticed they have worked super hard on the interior since our last visit. It was nice to enjoy watching College Game Day on the way to the TECH game. We had shrimp po' boys. Cole slaw and fries were great! Shrimp were light on shrimp flavor, the breading won there, but overall, a very nice lunch experience! If you are still renovating, I vote the flashing claw machine finds a new home!

What a great place to grab a fresh in house brewed beer. This place is way bigger than it appears from the outside. 3 unique areas but flowing well between. The general bar area with a dining area, a gaming area and the brewery area. Dollar bills and license plates all over the bar area. Great relaxing place to hang out!

We visited the tavern for dinner while we were staying at Douthat State Park. We absolutely loved it. From the minute we walked in the door we felt welcome! All of our food was SO AMAZING!!!! Our waitress was amazing too. She recommended things, which we certainly tried and loved. This is now my new favorite place! The people and the food were Amazing!!!

Great service and great dinner at Jack Mason's. I had a tasty beer and a great salad.

First, try their Log Hopper Kölsch. It was excellent with just the right hoppy taste.

Second, the Cobb salad was non-traditional but excellent. Only a light base of spring mix and the rest topped with pepper jack cheese and bacon (a lot of bacon!), hard boiled egg, tomatoes, and grilled chicken. Filling and delicious.

Lovely meal and worth returning.

It was our first time here, the food and beer were great and so was the service. There were 5 of us, and we had burgers, fish and chips and Buffalo wraps plus onion rings and wings. The onion rings were amazing. We'll definitely be going back.the next time we're in Clifton Forge!
