Applebee's Grill + Bar - Castle Rock, Colorado

My wife and I wanted to try a different place to eat tonight. We have lived here in Castle Rock for the past 4 years and NEVER went to Apple Bees. We were fans of Chilis, but tonight REALLY impressed us.

Service: When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by our host and seated in the bar area. We then were greeted by our server Ricky. Ricky was VERY informative on what specials were going on and kept checking on our drinks throughout the time we were there.

Food: We were really surprised! The food was delicious! We had the 2 for $26. We had the boneless wings for the appetizers. Whiskey Bacon Burger for the main. Everything was great, the hamburger was juicy, and the fries were yummy as well.

Drinks:
We had the Boo Lagoon Mucho and the Mucho Cocktail. Both were poured and mixed perfectly. Not to much liquor and not to much sweet. For the price, drinks were really good.

Atmosphere: Very chill, family seating on the outside and the bar area is seated on the inside of the restaurant.

Overall:
Service was great, people and the location is tucked away, but can be seen when passing by the frontage road of Home Depot. No rude servers or customers. Ricky was very attentive, friendly and that type of customer service in the restaurant industry has faded since the early 2000's. We for sure will be coming back to see Ricky and the amazing food.

The food was bad. we had the mozzarella sticks which tasted like they had been in a freezer for over a month before cooking, with the texture of plastic. I had a burger that tasted fine, nothing special but very dry i stopped eating halfway through because i bit into something that was mushy and tasted gross. my friend got the ribblets and couldn’t take more than 3 bites. it was disgusting. the texture was off, there were small pieces of bone in the meat seemingly mixed in and the sauce was sour. looking it over after leaving the restaurant it appears as well that i was overcharged on the tip by the machine, only a few dollars but i thought it was worth mentioning. Our server on the other hand was a very nice guy.

We had to seat ourselves then they got upset about where we sat. The waitress ignored us the whole time. We had empty waters and he passed out table multiple times. Food took forever. Finally we got up to leave and cancel our order and she was
shocked and said that it would right out. We asked her to fill out water then and the bartender came over and filled them. She gave us our food and then said nothing the rest of the time, never came and checked on us. We paid on the tablet. She took two plates and we left.

It's very reasonably priced and the staff were both excellent and professional the entire time. There's plenty of TVs and the staff were happy to change the sport showing.

The food is average but it's served very fast and for the price I'm not complaining. We also got some free movie tickets. Happy to come back.

Best chicken wings in town. O recommend! The server today was excellent. Working alone on a Saturday afternoon, busy, but had the best attitude ever and provided great service. I don't know your name lady, but you did great. Keep it up!

Super good experience at this Applebee's! We needed a meal late at night, and they were open! The steak we had was excellent as was the other food. No complaints about our experience.

I was served raw chicken tonight, & the employees acted like no surprise. I was comped my meal & nothing else, & a snarky goodbye. The service was terrible. I will not return here nor will I refer anyone to eat here. It’s unbelievable that this place is allowed to serve food.

The food was very good. The server was not as attentive as she could have been. It is a sports bar.
